Smart Shopping for Chic Winter Coats
As I prepare for a winter getaway to northern Vermont, I’m reminded that my current coat collection is lacking in one crucial aspect: functionality. My stylish, yet impractical, wool coats may look great, but they’re no match for the harsh winter weather. This time, I’m on a mission to find a chic, high-quality parka that can withstand the elements, all while staying within a reasonable budget.
The Inspiration
My inspiration for this search comes from a stylish French couple I recently spotted, who effortlessly pulled off the look of Canada Goose’s luxurious his and hers coats. Those coats, however, come with a hefty price tag of around $850. My goal is to find a similar look for a fraction of the cost.
The Search Begins
I’ve set my sights on parkas in the $100-200 range, which I believe offers the perfect balance between quality and affordability. With winter coats currently on sale, I’m hoping to snag a great deal on a coat that would normally retail for around $400. And, as part of my commitment to practicality, I’ll be considering darker colors alongside my beloved winter whites and beiges.
