Moreover, Planned Parenthood provides crucial pre- and post-natal care to millions of mothers who would otherwise struggle to access such care due to socioeconomic reasons.

Cancer Screening and Sex Education

The organization conducts nearly 400,000 pap smears and 500,000 breast exams each year, providing essential cancer-screening tests. Additionally, Planned Parenthood offers sex education to 1.5 million people and provides contraceptives that help women avoid unwanted pregnancies.

Many women rely on Planned Parenthood as their sole source of healthcare, and depend on it for birth control. With 700 affiliate health centers serving 2.7 million women across the United States, the numbers are undeniably significant and cannot be ignored.
