That’s why having a partner to keep things in perspective is vital. Despite having less free time, I’ve become more productive by prioritizing my blogging schedule.

The Efficiency-Effectiveness Conundrum

In our busy lives, we often strive to be more efficient. We could cook faster, clean quicker, or snooze less. But when it comes to blogging, I prioritize effectiveness over efficiency. To achieve this, I dedicate Sundays to cooking, cleaning, and preparing for the week ahead. During this time, I’m in task-oriented mode, focusing on crossing off items on my to-do list as quickly as possible.

Effectiveness Takes Center Stage

When I sit down to write, my focus shifts from efficiency to delivering value to my readers. I ask myself, “What do they want to read about?” or “How can I offer the most value in this post?” This approach requires patience and dedication, but the end result is worth it. I’d rather take the time to craft a well-written, effective piece than rush through a mediocre post.

Finding My Flow

I’ve discovered that writing in the morning, free from distractions, helps me tap into my creative flow. My morning routine consists of waking up, brushing my teeth, and diving straight into writing. Setting a timer for 50 minutes allows me to zone out and focus on my craft. This clarity helps me start my day on the right foot.
