Revisiting Unfinished Business: Why End-of-Year Resolutions Matter
As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on what I set out to achieve in 2018, but haven’t yet accomplished. Instead of simply looking forward to the new year, I’m taking a closer look at my unfinished goals and making a plan to tackle them before the clock strikes midnight on December 31st.
A Fresh Perspective on Goal-Setting
The traditional approach to New Year’s resolutions can often lead to vague, unachievable goals. By setting “End-of-Year” resolutions, I’m creating a sense of urgency and focus. With only 18 days left in the year, I’m forced to prioritize and scope my goals realistically, ensuring they’re specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
Lighting a Fire Under My Goals
By targeting End-of-Year resolutions, I’m injecting a sense of excitement and motivation into my goal-setting process. With a limited timeframe, I’m compelled to focus on what’s truly important to me right now. This approach helps me avoid procrastination and stay committed to achieving my objectives.
Closing Out the Year on a High Note
Completing unfinished business from the past year brings a sense of accomplishment and closure. It’s a chance to tie up loose ends and head into the new year feeling empowered and confident. By achieving my End-of-Year resolutions, I’ll be able to reflect on my progress and use it as a springboard for setting informed, effective goals in 2019.
Kicking Off the New Year with Momentum
Imagine starting the new year with a string of accomplishments under your belt! By tackling my End-of-Year resolutions, I’ll be building momentum and setting myself up for success in 2019. I’ll be able to reflect on my past goals and use that insight to inform my future aspirations, ensuring I’m continually growing and improving.
