In the aftermath of my termination, I initially reacted by frantically applying to any job opening I could find. I thought I didn’t deserve to be choosy, given my recent failure. However, this approach only led to rejection emails and a deeper sense of disappointment. It wasn’t until I took a step back, calmed down, and revisited my childhood home that I began to reconnect with my true self. I remembered my strengths, passions, and ambitions, and realized how far my old job was from what I truly wanted.
