Lamb Burgers: A Flavorful Twist on the Classic
When you’re craving something more exotic than traditional beef burgers, lamb burgers are an excellent choice. Packed with aromatic spices and topped with a refreshing Cucumber and Cumin Yogurt Relish, these burgers will elevate your grilling game.
A Symphony of Flavors
The combination of ground lamb, white onion, garlic, parsley, mint, salt, cayenne pepper, and black pepper creates a rich, meaty flavor profile. The addition of a cooling relish, made with cucumber, cumin, and yogurt, provides a delightful contrast to the warm, savory burger.
Easy to Prepare, Impressive to Serve
With a total cooking time of just 40 minutes, these lamb burgers are quick to prepare and cook. Simply combine the ingredients, form into patties, and grill to perfection. Serve on toasted buns or ciabatta bread, topped with the Cucumber and Cumin Yogurt Relish.

- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 burger buns or ciabatta bread, cut in half
- Cucumber and Cumin Yogurt Relish (see recipe intro)
Grilling Tips
- Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium (about 350°F to 450°F).

Beverage Pairing
The Green Point Shiraz from Australia is an excellent match for these lamb burgers. The wine’s spicy and black pepper notes complement the flavors of the burger, while its blackberry and plum notes refresh the palate.
