Instructions:

Step 1: Cook the Edamame

Cook frozen edamame in a large saucepan of boiling salted water until just tender, about 10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of cooking liquid for later use.

Step 2: Blend the Flavors

Combine basil, olive oil, and garlic in a processor; blend until finely chopped. Add edamame, reserved cooking liquid, Parmesan, and lemon juice to the processor; puree until almost smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
