Embracing Inner Light: A Journey of Self-Love and Acceptance
As we begin this meditation, take a deep breath in, and allow your body to relax. Let go of the tension in your shoulders, and feel the stillness wash over you. Close your eyes, and permit yourself to let go of the racing thoughts that occupy your mind.
Setting Intentions
Take a moment to set an intention for this meditation. What do you hope to achieve? What do you want to release? Start with the phrase “I am…” and allow the words to flow naturally. As you inhale, feel the intention settle within you, and exhale, letting go of any doubts or fears.
Confronting Past Experiences
Bring to mind a moment when you didn’t fully love yourself. It could be a past experience, a self-critical thought, or a feeling of inadequacy. Allow the memory to surface, and observe it without judgment. See yourself in that moment, and acknowledge the emotions that arise. Name them, if you wish, but don’t feel obligated to do so. Simply be aware of them.
Stepping Forward
As you hold the emotion in place, step forward in the vision. You are no longer the observer; you are now an active participant. See yourself as you are now, and offer yourself the love, forgiveness, or kindness you need. Open your arms wide, embracing yourself fully, and whisper the words: “I’m sorry I didn’t love you the way you needed. I could only be who I was then. Now, I am allowing our light to shine.”
Unlocking Inner Light
Imagine a small sparkle of light deep within your chest, right in your heart center. See it, feel it, and allow it to grow brighter, consuming you in the best way possible. As the light expands, it fills your chest, moves down your arms, and settles in the tips of your fingertips. It then traces back up, moving through you to your stomach, hips, thighs, and finally, to the soles of your feet. This beautiful light encompasses you, reminding you of your inherent brilliance.
Radiating Light
As you bask in this light, feel its warmth and peace. Allow your mind to pull forth another moment when you needed this light to hold you and remind you of your inner strength. Offer the light to this moment, holding space for yourself. Remember, every experience has helped you understand what you need and want in life. Contrast is not negative; it shows you your truest desires.
Gratitude and Expansion
Within every challenging moment, this light is still glowing. Offer gratitude and expand. You see, in everything, there is lightness, possibility, and endless potential. Shine your light in everything you experience, infusing goodness and gratitude. Feel each moment in your heart center and simply say: “Thank you for the moments that remind me I always have access to my light.”
Affirmations
Repeat after me: “The light I seek is always within me. I am joy, light, and pure positive energy. I am abundant because of the situations I’ve experienced and continue to know. I do not force but instead, own the beautiful light in which I am. I am now vibrating at the highest frequency of love. I am deserving of goodness as I tune into my truest self.”
Integration
Sit in these truths for as long as you need, allowing them to guide you. Then, lock them inside, holding onto the light you’ve created around and within yourself. Everything is always working in your favor. You are light. When you are ready, slowly come back to yourself, taking a few small movements. When you are ready, open your eyes, and feel the difference within your body and the space you are in. That is your light filling the space. Own it, and never let it go again.
