Yield and Prep Time

Yield: 6
Total Prep Time: 30 minutes

Gather Your Ingredients

  • 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup KC Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Marinate and Grill

In a large bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, olive oil, mustard, honey, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined. Reserve 3/4 cup of the sauce for later use. Place the chicken breasts in the bowl with the remaining sauce and marinate for at least 1 hour or all day.

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush or spray the grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Place the chicken breasts on the grill, close the lid, and lower the heat to medium. Grill for 3-4 minutes, then flip the chicken over and baste with the reserved sauce. Grill for an additional 3-4 minutes or until cooked through. Give the chicken one last flip to sauce the other side, then continue to grill for just enough time to set the sauce.

Serve and Enjoy!

Remove the chicken from the grill, tent with foil, and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy the fruits of your labor! The leftovers make for a fantastic chicken sandwich the next day, so be sure to save some for later.
