- 1 pound spaghetti
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 medium garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
- Get Started: Bring a large pot of generously salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente or according to the package directions.
- Drain and Reserve: Drain the spaghetti, reserving 1 cup of the cooking water.
