Game-Changing Beer Crust Recipe for Perfect Pizza

The Secret to a Perfect Pizza Crust: A Game-Changing Recipe

When it comes to pizza, the crust is the foundation upon which everything else is built. A great crust can elevate a mediocre pizza to new heights, while a subpar crust can ruin even the most carefully crafted toppings. That’s why Chef Glenn Cybulski, Executive Chef and Founder of Fregene’s Pizza, has spent years perfecting his beer crust recipe.

A Crust Above the Rest

What sets Chef Cybulski’s crust apart is its unique blend of flavors and textures. With a yeasty aroma, a chewy sponge, and a crispy bottom that crunches with every bite, this crust is sure to impress even the most discerning palates. And the best part? It’s surprisingly easy to make.

The Magic Ingredients

So what’s the secret to this incredible crust? It all starts with the ingredients:

  • 160 Oz. Flour
  • 1/2 qt filtered Hot water
  • 72 oz of beer (any good amber ale will do)
  • 1/4 cup yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • One cup Olive Oil

Mixing it Up

To bring these ingredients together, follow these simple steps:

  1. Place the flour in the mixer and turn it on.
  2. Add the yeast to the hot water and mix well.
  3. Pour the olive oil and water/yeast mixture into the mixer at a slow pace.
  4. Gradually add the beer to the mixer, pouring at an even slow pace.
  5. Let the mixer do its work and mix for 10 minutes.

Shaping and Proofing

Once the mix is complete, “ball” the dough into the regular size you normally use. This batch makes 10 27oz dough balls, perfect for large pizzas. Let the dough proof at room temperature (around 68°F) for two hours, or refrigerate for up to 24 hours.

Getting Creative

The beauty of this recipe lies in its versatility. Feel free to experiment with different seasonings and toppings to create unique flavor combinations. A pinch of Cajun seasoning or a dash of red pepper flakes can add a whole new dimension to your pizza.

Baking to Perfection

When it’s time to bake, Chef Cybulski recommends using Impinger’s at 550°F. This will cook the pizza to perfection in just five minutes. Adjust your oven temperature and cooking time accordingly for the best results.

With this recipe, you’ll be well on your way to creating pizzas that will impress even the most discerning customers. So go ahead, get creative, and watch your pizza game soar to new heights!
