Healthy Eating Made Easy
The Quest for Modern, Healthy Cuisine
Healthy living is within everyone’s reach, and innovative solutions can make a real difference in people’s lives. To uncover the secrets of creating lower-calorie frozen meals that are both affordable and delicious, our health editor, Kate, will be attending a culinary roundtable session where she’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the recipe development process and meet the talented chefs who make it all happen.
A Glimpse into the Culinary Innovation Process
The two-day conference will showcase the latest creations and share the vision for the future of healthy eating. Kate will explore the world of product sourcing, recipe development, and food trends with the Culinary Innovation Team. She’ll also visit a family farm that supplies produce and collaborate on new projects at a culinary institute.
Meet the All-Star Cast of Chefs
The culinary masters behind modern, healthy cuisine bring a unique blend of influences and expertise to the table. Let’s take a look:
- Michele Bernstein: A James Beard Award winner and Iron Chef champion, Bernstein brings Latin, French, Asian, and Italian influences to the table.
- Brad Farmerie: With a Michelin star under his belt, Farmerie is the executive chef at several restaurants in New York.
- Paul Kahan: This Chicago-based chef has a rich culinary heritage and is executive chef at several restaurants, including The Publican and Blackbird.
- Elizabeth Karmel: Dubbed the “Queen of Grill,” Karmel is executive chef at Hill Country BBQ and Hill Country Chicken in New York.
- Lior Lev Sercarz: After working with top chefs, Lev Sercarz opened La Boite à Epice in New York, creating bespoke spice blends for chefs across the country.
What to Expect from the Culinary Roundtable
Kate spoke with Chef Lucien Vendôme, who will be guiding her through the two-day adventure. They’ll spend time in the kitchen with each chef, gaining insight into their creative process and learning about the inspiration behind their recipes.
