Twizzler Lemonade: A Refreshing 4th of July Cocktail Recipe

Summer Vibes Ahead: A Refreshing Twist on a Classic Cocktail

As the summer season kicks into high gear, our minds turn to outdoor gatherings, sizzling barbecues, and refreshing drinks that quench our thirst. The 4th of July weekend is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with a unique cocktail that’s sure to impress your friends and family?

Elevate Your Summer Soiree

While a cold beer or a simple spritz can be satisfying, a thoughtfully crafted cocktail can elevate your summer gathering to a whole new level. It’s all about creating an experience that’s both festive and memorable. This recipe is a game-changer, and it’s perfect for the 4th of July.

Inspired by a Local Favorite

Our team discovered a hidden gem at Harlem Public, a trendy bar/restaurant in uptown New York. Their signature Twizzler Lemonade is a summer staple, and we just had to recreate it. With a few simple ingredients and some patience, you can create a refreshing drink that’s sure to become a new favorite.

The Magic of Infusion

To start, steep 8-10 Twizzlers in a pint of decent vodka (we used Stoli) for 24-48 hours. The longer you steep, the sweeter and more flavorful your vodka will be. You can steep it in any container, as long as it’s sealed tight. We recommend steeping it in the sun for a day, then chilling it in the fridge for the second day.

Crafting the Perfect Lemonade

For the lemonade, fresh is best. You’ll need lemons, water, and powdered sugar (a secret ingredient that dissolves instantly and leaves no sugary residue). Our ideal lemonade recipe includes:

  • 1 cup squeezed and strained lemon juice
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Simply stir to combine and set aside.

Assemble the Drink

Fill your glass with ice and a lemon slice. Pour 1.5 shots of the Twizzler vodka and top it off with the lemonade. Garnish with a Twizzler, and you’re ready to impress!

Cheers to a Refreshing Summer!

This Twizzler Lemonade is the perfect summer drink, especially for the 4th of July. It’s sweet, refreshing, and utterly unique. So go ahead, give it a try, and make this summer one to remember!
