Walk Your Way to Wealth: A 7-Day Challenge to Boost Fitness and Finances

Taking Control of My Wallet and My Body

As someone who’s made significant progress in managing my finances, I’ve come to realize that my physical health is closely tied to my spending habits. When I’m sedentary, I tend to splurge on unhealthy foods and convenient transportation, ultimately draining my wallet. It’s time to break this cycle.

From Sedentary to Active

Growing up, I was always involved in physical activities like team sports and dance. However, as I transitioned into a desk job, my lifestyle became increasingly sedentary. Despite taking occasional fitness classes, I found excuses to avoid exercise, citing lack of time and energy. But I know I’m not alone in this struggle.

The Connection Between Fitness and Finances

My tendency to overspend is directly linked to my lack of physical activity. When I’m not taking care of my body, I’m more likely to indulge in unhealthy habits that drain my wallet. By addressing my physical health, I’m also tackling my financial well-being.

A Personal Challenge

I’m setting myself a goal to make both my wallet and body healthier. In partnership with Ally and Under Armour, I’ll be taking on an All-Cash, All-Walking Challenge. For one week, I’ll use only cash for groceries, social outings, and incidentals, and I’ll rely solely on walking as my mode of transportation. No exceptions.

The Relentless Resolutions Challenge

Ally and Under Armour have created a challenge that combines fitness and financial goals. Using the MapMyRun and MyFitnessPal apps, participants can track their progress and win prizes. And, as part of the grand prize, I’ll be meeting the winner in Baltimore to help them create a customized financial roadmap.

Prizes and Incentives

By completing workouts and reaching milestones, participants can win co-branded Under Armour Tech T-Shirts, gift cards, and even a trip to the Under Armour Performance Center. But the real reward is the sense of accomplishment and control over your finances and physical health.

Join the Movement

I’ll be taking on this challenge alongside you, and I’m confident that we can make a positive impact on our lives. By setting routines and habits that prioritize our well-being, we can build a stronger, healthier version of ourselves. Who’s with me?
