I’ve made a conscious decision to support women-dominated marketplaces like Poshmark. By buying from these platforms, I’m not only reducing my carbon footprint but also giving power to women who need it most. It’s a small step, but it makes a significant difference.
The Power of Blogging
Blogging has the potential to be a game-changer for women. It provides a platform for them to express themselves, share their experiences, and earn a living. However, we need to change our attitudes towards bloggers making money. We must recognize that female writers deserve to be compensated for their work, whether through Patreon buttons, affiliate links, or Etsy stores.
Prioritizing Women Online
It’s time to prioritize women in the online economy. When I make a purchase online, I make sure to support fellow female bloggers. We need to start re-appropriating successful strategies like self-promotion, target marketing, and quid pro quo. These concepts aren’t inherently bad; they’re just wielded by wealthy men who have dominated the economy for too long.
Combining Forces
To truly empower the female economy, we need to start talking to each other and combining our forces. We must promote each other’s work, expect fair and equal exchanges, and stop feeling guilty about asking for what we deserve. It’s time to get our shit together and start expecting more.
