A Young Family’s Uncertain Future

The Reality of Military Life

As I sit here, thousands of miles away from my family, I’m faced with the harsh reality of my situation. My wife and I, both in our early twenties, are barely a year into our marriage and already navigating the complexities of divorce. Our beautiful daughter, not yet a year old, is at the center of it all.

We’ve accumulated a significant amount of debt, including a $23,000 car loan and $3,000 in credit card debt. My wife has been managing our finances, but the lack of communication has led to overspending, leaving us with little to no savings. I’m frustrated, not because of the spending itself, but because it was done without discussion.
