Empowering Women to Take Charge of Their Careers
As I prepare for the final event of my book launch tour in San Diego, I’m filled with excitement and gratitude. Tonight, I’ll be sharing my insights and expertise with a sold-out crowd of ambitious women, and I can’t wait to see the impact it will have on their lives.
From Consulting to Coaching
Before becoming an entrepreneur, I spent eight years working at Booz Allen Hamilton, where I gained valuable experience consulting for the military in a male-dominated industry. However, it was during my MBA program that I discovered my true passion – helping others succeed in their careers. I started blogging as a side project, sharing my learnings from business school and my experiences on the job.
A Journey of Self-Discovery
As I continued to blog, I realized that I was providing advice and guidance that I wish I had received earlier in my own career. My blog became a platform for me to share my expertise and empower other women to take control of their careers. I began teaching classes at my company, and soon, I was hooked. I knew that I wanted to dedicate my life to coaching and training others.
Embracing Authenticity
Initially, I was hesitant to reveal my identity as a blogger, fearing that it might jeopardize my job. But as I continued to connect with my readers, I realized that authenticity was key. By being true to myself and sharing my story, I was able to build a loyal community of women who resonated with my message.
Unleashing Potential
Today, my blog is a go-to resource for career and leadership advice, aimed at helping women achieve their goals and reach new heights. I’ve had the privilege of teaching webinars, courses, and workshops, and I’m committed to continuing this work.
