This anxiety permeates every aspect of my daily life, from worrying about toilet paper and tampons to more essential resources like money and food. It’s a constant, low-grade hum of unease that influences my decisions and behaviors.

The Roots of Scarcity

I’ve come to understand that this fear is deeply ingrained, manifesting in subtle yet significant ways. It’s the voice that whispers “what if” in the dead of night, the one that prompts me to stockpile supplies, and the reason I hesitate to use up the last of something.
