Gather Your Ingredients
- 1 cup room temperature butter
- 1/2 cup finely grated aged cheese (Gouda or Parmesan work beautifully)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons gin
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Let’s Get Baking!
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, cheese, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Add the milk and gin, mixing until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure everything is fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients to form a dough.
- Roll the dough into balls, about 1/2 inch in diameter, and place them 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden and puffed. Serve warm and enjoy!
