Revolutionize Your Snack Game with This Refreshing Guacamole Recipe

When it comes to guacamole, most of us think of a thick, chunky dip. But what if we told you there’s a way to shake things up? Introducing a tart-tasting, blended guacamole that’s perfect for topping nachos, burritos, tacos, and even tortilla chips.

The Magic Ingredients

This game-changing recipe combines the creaminess of avocado with the tanginess of tomatillos, epazote, chiles, garlic, onion, and lime juice. The result is a refreshing twist on the classic dip.

Selecting the Perfect Avocado

To ensure the best flavor and texture, choose an avocado that yields slightly to pressure but isn’t too soft. We recommend using a Hass avocado for this recipe.

Get Ready to Blend

Yield: About 2 cups
Difficulty: Easy
Total Time: 15 minutes

The Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces tomatillos (about 4 medium), papery husks removed, rinsed, and quartered
  • 6 large fresh epazote leaves or 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 medium jalapeƱo peppers or serrano chiles, stemmed and coarsely chopped
  • 2 medium garlic cloves, peeled and smashed
  • 1/4 medium white onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice, plus more as needed
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more as needed
  • 1 medium, ripe avocado, halved and pitted

Blending Magic

Place all the ingredients except the avocado in a blender and blend until very smooth, about 1 minute. Turn off the blender. Scoop the avocado flesh into the blender and blend until smooth.

Taste and Serve

Taste and season with additional lime juice and salt as needed. Serve immediately or place a sheet of plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole and refrigerate for up to 2 hours. The plastic wrap will keep the surface of the guacamole from turning brown.

Get ready to impress your friends and family with this unique and delicious twist on traditional guacamole!
