Stilton Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Soy & Basil Twist

Savory Chicken Breasts with a Twist

A Delicious Accident

I’m thrilled to share a recipe that was born out of experimentation and curiosity. By combining a few ingredients I had on hand, I stumbled upon a culinary gem. This easy-to-make dish yields 6 servings and requires only 20 minutes of active preparation.

The Perfect Blend of Flavors

The key to this recipe lies in the harmonious union of six simple ingredients:

  • 6 chicken breasts
  • Stilton cheese
  • Grated mature cheddar
  • Fresh basil
  • Soy sauce
  • Aluminium foil

Assembling the Masterpiece

To begin, preheat your oven to 220°C (Gas mark 7). Next, cut each chicken breast to create small pockets. Crumble the Stilton cheese and sprinkle it into the pocket, followed by a sprinkle of grated mature cheddar. Add a drizzle of soy sauce to each pocket for an extra layer of flavor. Finally, cover the cheese with fresh basil leaves.

The Foil Wrap

Cover each chicken breast with aluminium foil, making sure to seal the edges tightly. Place the foil-wrapped breasts on the middle shelf of the oven and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until piping hot.

The Finishing Touches

Garnish each breast with additional fresh basil leaves once cooked. Serve on a bed of fried rice for a filling meal. To add a playful twist, shape the individual foil parcels into chicken shapes with a beak and tail before serving.

This recipe is a testament to the power of experimentation in the kitchen. By embracing the unknown, you can create something truly remarkable. So go ahead, give it a try, and enjoy the delightful flavors of this savory chicken breast dish!
